Hello everyone, happy Monday, Its my turn to post over on the Timeless Twine blog today! If you didn't already know, this month the twine-istas with be sharing 3D Valentine projects with you all. I am going to kick off my first post for this month, by sharing a bag I altered.
I decided to paper pierce my bag and do a scalloped crochet edge on it using my absolute favorite twine, Strawberry Cupcake. I didn't follow a pattern, I just SC down the bag, then turned, did four DC in first SC, SS in next SC, skip stitch and repeat.
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
SS: Slip Stitch
I put a Spellbinders die, cut side up, inside my bag and ran through my eBosser (thanks Dad & Mom, yes my dad does read my blogpost) :) to cut out the circle. I than placed the same circular die inside a larger scallop die by spellbinders to cut out the glittery circular frame. I put a piece of clear acetate on the inside of bag & adhered it down, so the candies wont fall out. The bag was filled with chocolates, but before pictures, my peanut and I got hungry :)
Items used from store:
All my stamps used on my bag are by Peachy Keen Stamps.
Thank you all for stopping by and taking a peek at my altered gift bag, also be sure to head over to yesterdays post and check out our Simply White blog hop, if you haven't already, this new twine is just perfect and so are all the creations made with it!!
Looove all the fun embellishing on the kraft bag. I would of had nothing to showcase in the bag though. I love those chocolates and my hubby is even worse when it comes to chocolate. Yup a man worse than a female when it comes to chocolate, LOL!
ReplyDeleteClever idea to do crochet on the edge of the bag. Great project.
ReplyDeleteawesome love it. hugs
ReplyDeleteSo cute! LOVE this bag!
ReplyDeleteAdorable what you did with this bag. I swear I commented before but seems my ipad doesn't really leave comments when I take the time to use it. :(
