SugarPea Designs- Easter Blessings

It's Thursday, that means only one more day to go before the weekend, woot woot! Does everyone have plans for  Easter? We are staying here in town for Easter Sunday and we will celebrate with my in-laws. Then the following weekend we will be celebrating with my mom's side of the family.
Since Easter is only a couple days away, I thought it would be perfect to share a card just for that occasion.

Easter-Blessings

Store---Tweet-Friend

Pattern Papers: We R Memory Keepers-Hello Darling
Colored using Copic Markers
Pebbles Inc. Chalk (clouds)
Ribbon-Joann Fabrics
American Crafts-Twine
Inkadinkado- Masking Paper

I had so much fun merging these two sets together. I wanted my sweet little girl from the Easter Blessing Set to look like she was resting up against the tree from the Tweet Friend Set.
I stamp my girl first and then masked her off using some Masking paper, I then positioned where I wanted my tree and stamped to get desired look.

Hope you have all enjoyed today's card and be sure to swing over to the SugarPea Design blog and show some love to the other design team gals.
I hope you all have a blessed and safe holiday weekend!

Good Luck Anya- The Greeting Farm- Guest Designer

Hello, Happy Tuesday! I have been having such a blast, Guest Designing for The Greeting Farm stamp co. this month. I have my second project to share with you all today.
I used digital stamp, Good Luck Anya, as the focal point for today's creation.

Just because St. Patrick's day is over doesn't mean that this image can't be used. Everyone knows that St. Patrick's day is full of green and rainbows so I decided to still use that as the theme of my card, but switch it up when it came time to stamp the sentiment.
My image was colored using Spectrum Noir & Copic Markers and the Background was created using Spectrum Aquas. I used the smooshing method to blend all my background colors together.
I finished off by framing Anya with some silver glitter tape and adding some silver star sequins.

I hope you have all enjoyed my second project... I can't believe I only have one more project to go and my month will be up :(
I will be back on the 29th for my third and final creation as guest designer.
Thank you all for stopping by and have a great day!

SugarPea Designs- Egg-a-licious Easter Card

Happy Thursday and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I cannot believe how quickly this week has flown by, not just the week but the entire month. It seems impossible that Easter is just a little over a week away. I decided since the Easter holiday is quickly approaching, what better way to celebrate than to make an Easter card.

I mixed and matched a bunch of different stamps and dies to create this card. I got the idea for this card after watching, "Willy Wonka" the other night. If a goose can lay a golden egg then I figured Easter eggs wouldn't be that unusual.

Patter Paper: Echo Park-Sunny Days Ahead
Solid Cardstock- PTI
Twine- American Crafts
Pebble Chalk(sky)

Hope you all enjoy my whimsical take on today's card. To see creations by some of the other design team gals, head on over to the SugarPea Design Blog. Thank you all for stopping by, I will be back tomorrow with yet another crafty creation.

SugarPea Design Team Day- Prehistoric Love

Hello and Happy Thursday... It's Design Team inspiration Day for me over at the SugarPea Design Blog and I cannot wait to share my card with you all.
I had a lot of fun putting this card together! I just love the look of all the black and white and then BAM, the pop of color with all the dinos.

Stamps: Prehistoric Pals
SugarCut Dies: Stitched Flags
Pattern Paper: Dear Lizzy- Documentary
I attached my big banner by running it through my sewing machine a couple times. I embossed my sentiment onto some black PTI cardstock using Tim Holtz embossing ink & white Ranger embossing powder.

Spectrum Noir- March Challenge ~ Show us your sparkle

Hello, hope you are all having a good evening!? A new month has just started and that means time for a new challenge over at Spectrum Noir
This month is all about, showing us your sparkle... you can interpret that in many different ways.
For my project I will be showcasing my sparkle in two different ways, using sequins & Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

Stamp Set- Some Odd Girl- Mr. Octopus

I stamped my images and sentiment directly onto some Spectrum Aqua Watercolour Cardstock
I water colored using my Spectrum Aquas, colors used included...

Teal, Aquamarine, Magenta, Yellow, Red Violet & Charcoal

I colored my Aquas onto an acrylic block and then picked up the colors using a water brush.
I am impatient so I used my heat gun to dry the image. I  like using this method because I can manipulate the way the colors will dry. I then sprinkled some droplet of water randomly to image and blotted with a paper towel.

Now that everything was dry, I went back in to use my Spectrum Sparkle Pens, colors used, include...

Cosmos, Violet & Clear.

It's hard to see all the sparkle but trust me it's there. The ocean background was completely covered using the clear sparkle pen. Mr. octopus is very sparkle too!

Now all that was left was to add my sequins and specks of glitter.

Hope you all enjoyed today's creation and we would love for you to all come along and play in this months challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

My images were colored using Copic Markers.
