Spectrum Noir- March Challenge ~ Show us your sparkle

Hello, hope you are all having a good evening!? A new month has just started and that means time for a new challenge over at Spectrum Noir. 

This month is all about, showing us your sparkle... you can interpret that in many different ways. 

For my project I will be showcasing my sparkle in two different ways, using sequins & Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

Stamp Set- Some Odd Girl- Mr. Octopus

I stamped my images and sentiment directly onto some Spectrum Aqua Watercolour Cardstock. 

I water colored using my Spectrum Aquas, colors used included...

Teal, Aquamarine, Magenta, Yellow, Red Violet & Charcoal

I colored my Aquas onto an acrylic block and then picked up the colors using a water brush. 

I am impatient so I used my heat gun to dry the image. I  like using this method because I can manipulate the way the colors will dry. I then sprinkled some droplet of water randomly to image and blotted with a paper towel. 

Now that everything was dry, I went back in to use my Spectrum Sparkle Pens, colors used, include...

Cosmos, Violet & Clear. 

It's hard to see all the sparkle but trust me it's there. The ocean background was completely covered using the clear sparkle pen. Mr. octopus is very sparkle too!

Now all that was left was to add my sequins and specks of glitter.

Spectrum Noir June Challenge- Make it Sparkle

Some Odd Girl Digital Release Day!!

Hello again, this is my second post so far this morning! I am super excited that it's time for another digital release over at Some Odd Girl Stamps. Today there are two new digital stamps being released, I will be sharing a card using Tiger Piper and the other digi is Fighter Gwen (digi me contest winner image)

I kept my layout pretty simple and decided not to go with many layers because I wanted my image to be the main focal point.

Some Odd Girl: December Digi Bundles

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone! We are continuing this month with the special bundles that Kristy has put together over in the Some Odd Girl Shop. Fall Into Fun! Timeless Twine DT Day

Hello and Happy Monday to all, It'd design team day for me over at the Timeless Twine blog. Here in Minnesota fall is coming to an end and winter is right around the corner. I figured I would share one last fall creation with you all, before I move onto winter cards.

Some Odd girl Digital release: Yehaw!!

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone :) Hope you all had a great Monday yesterday. I am here today, with the new releases from Some Odd Girl.

For my creation, I decided to make a gift bag, cause you never know when you will need one.

Meet, Cowboy Kody, I want to inform you all that Kody is indeed a full digi. I decided to crop him off from waist down, because I wanted him to be a bigger focal point on my gift bag. So when you go and get him from the store you will get the full digi.

I also used the new Loopy Sentiments V4 file for the, happy title on my tag, I just traced and cut it out using my Silhouette.

I used my Spectrum Noirs to color my image in and then used my new Tim Holtz distress markers for the background. To get the cloudy swoosh effect, I just drew the marker onto one of my clear stamping blocks then used my water brush to pick up the color and brush on.

Isn't it just fab, how you can merge digi's to create a custom scene. That's my trick/tip for you all. Try and mix and match some digital stamps to create your own little scene. As you can see above I used three different digi's and brought them together to make this sweet little trick or treat family. The possibilities are endless when creating with digital stamps. I used my Silhouette studio designer software to merge these images together, but any editing software will work just fine.
