 I created this fun and simple shaker card by stamping the yarn spool images using multiple Distress Oxide Inks. I added some iridescent sequins and finished up by adding so faux stitching around heart to make stand out more on my white on white card base.

SugarPea Designs,Day 4 - August Previews

Welcome Back! We are only one day away now from the SugarPea Designs August Release. Today is day FOUR and it's jammed packed with gorgeous goodies. Let's dive right in, shall we!?

I took a spooky take on today's products. I just had to use the vampire from yesterday's Monster Mash stamp set as well as the monster hugs sentiment. I Feel like the mandala has a webbing kind of design. I also thought the sentiment was perfect for how he's holding his arms are and I wanted to emphasis on the YOU part.

I used three different distress oxides to create the blended background, Candies apple,
Abandoned coral & Fired brick. I stamped the Mandala in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I used some watered down black acrylic paint to get the spackled effect.

SugarPea Designs- Day 2, August Previews

Welcome Back for Day two of August release previews for SugarPea Designs. Yesterday was jammed packed with tons of new yummy products and today we have even more for you.

We are showcasing the new, "Made with love" stamp set as well as the,"With Love tag".

I decided to make a small little note card style card to go along with my next crochet project, when I get one done that is. 

My card measures at 4.25x 3.5, perfect for a hand written note inside or maybe even a Giftcard. 

Teal background created using- Tim Holtz, Peacock Feathers Distress oxide ink. 

For some reason I had the new die we are showcasing today written down for the wrong preview date in planner, so I ended up going with the older but still lots of fun..SugarCuts- For you Tag. 

I also ended up using the, Notched Hearts Journal Card.

SugarPea Designs- The Best Journeys!

Hello, happy Tuesday eveyone. I'm up over at the SugarPea Design Blog .
 Today, I want to share a card with you all using one of my favorite techniques. I love incorporating the use of dies on my stamped images to create a 3D raised effect. 

The 2nd image shown above, shows the 3D raised effect the best. To create this effect I start out by coloring my image, which from the RV There Yet? stamp set. I then took the, Home Sweet Home Sugarcut die and placed it directly onto image and cut out. In order to get the raised effect, I cut out an additional 5 more pieces in order to achieve my layering. Usually I would use the SugarPuff from the SPD store but I'm currently out, so this was a good alternative, it just took a lot more work and time. 

To finish off  this technique, I added a layer of glossy accents on top of diecut. 

I did a little ink blending on the background and finished card off by stamping my sentiment and adding some clear sequins.

My card is featuring the, Let's Flamingle Stamp set. I kept a clean and simple design for my card so my flamingo could be front and center. I stamped flamingo first because I knew I wanted to make it look like it was standing on the sentiment.

SugarPea Designs- June Previews, Day 4

Welcome back for day 4 of June Release previews. We are one day away from product release, who's getting excited!? Today we are showcasing two new stamps sets along with their coordinating dies. I am in love with today's two sets. 

I will be showcasing today's, Tropic Like It's Hot Stamp set.

Everyone knows I'm a sucker for Punny sentiments and these two sets are perfect for that. As soon as I seen the Tropic Like It's Hot Sentiment, I knew that had to be my focal point of my card. I used some a the gorgeous tropical leafs from the set and stamped in different hues of greens. I also used the beautiful Hibiscus flower to add an extra pop of pink color to the card.

SugarPea Designs- June Release Previews, Day 3

Welcome back for day 3 of June Release previews. Today's stamp set will be a hit among alot of people.. it's one of my favorites, perfect for every coffee lover. Today we are showcasing the super fun, "The Perfect Blend" stamp set.

Here are the two card I made mixing new with old....

I did absolutley no coloring on today's cards either, two days in a row, I'm on a roll. I Love how big and bold these sentiments are and how they just speak for themselves. I wanted them to be the focal point of both cards, so I kept them clean and simple. I used today's new stamp set as well as some old images from the Caffeine Addict Stamp set. I also used the Stitched Flag Dies.
