PKS Challenge 47 :: Happy Birthday Kathy Sketch

Hello Bloggy Friends,
Wow, I just feel like I can't catch up on anything, my life has been nuts lately. I had this card done on Sunday and I am just getting around to posting it. I only have three days left of work and then three days off, yahoo!! Monday was so hectic for me at work, I shipped over 400 packages for my customers at the local UPS Store that I manage, who knows maybe one is coming to you :) It has finally somewhat slowed down if you call 200 packages a day slow lol well its slow to me, I guess I have come a custom to it there since I am going on almost 8 years of employment there !! Anyways on with fun stuff now!!
This card I made in honor of Kathy over at Peachy Keen Stamps she is celebrated her Birthday  this past weekend !! Here is the card I came up with for this challenge ....
I used my Peachy Keen December SOMK for this card, I just love how it turned out!! The ribbon I hand dyed myself and then added a button and some twine from my stash. The paper is by American Crafts, from a 6x6 paper pack that I got from target this past weekend. I used my Spectrum Noirs to color in the candles and I used the SVG Files to cut them out using my new Silhouette !! I also decided to add some orange crush glitter to the two outer candles. I hope you all enjoy this project and make sure to stop by Peachy Keen , to wish Kathy a Happy Birthday !!

FCCB:Challenge #142 Make a Shape Card

Hello Bloggy Friends,
Can you believe that it's Monday already, where has December gone!? Since it is Monday, we have another great challenge taking place over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This weeks Challenge is "Make A Shape Card" it can be any type of shape card, I made a Christmas card but you don't have to, it's not Christmas themed. Here is what I came up with....
I think this might possibly be one of my last Christmas cards that I will be posting, I am getting a little burnt out on them !! I may do a few more, if I decide to enter some challenges that I may run across.
For this card I used my "Winter Frolic" cricut cartridge and my gypsy to weld two Santa's together to make my card. My Santa along with all of his layers was cut at 6". My sentiment is from the Peachy Keen, November SOMK.
I embossed all the red portions of my Santa and added some white coarse glitter to his hat and trim on his coat. I Hope you all enjoy my card, and I hope you will all find time to join in on the challenge this week !!!

I will list the challenges at the end of post that I am entering this into.
     Well on with my project......

I got this cute gift bag from SVGCuts in came in a bundle called "Santa’s Helpful Elves ". I got this bundle for FREE, that's right I said FREE. They have a deal going on right now if you spend at least $9.98 between now and December 13th you get this bundle for FREE. It definitely is not hard to spend at least $10.00 on their website they have the cutest SVG bundles.
All my papers came from my local Scrapbooking store "Memories For The Making " or were scraps from my stash. I added some blush to my elf's cheeks and some little white pearls to his eyes. I embossed the white part of his hat and added a button and a bell with some bakers twine to . The Sentiment is a circle that  punched out using one of my circle punches and I stamped the sentiment using momento ink.

Create A Banner: The Cuttlebug Spot

Hello Bloggy Friends,
I just want to start off and say, where has December gone !? I Feel like I have been slacking on posting to my blog . I have only been posting 1 to 2 things a week usually I post way more than that. I guess I kinda have an excuse, I manage my local UPS Store and have for the past 7 years and this time a year is a bit hectic for me. I have been working 10 hour shifts, opposite of my husband.  I come home after working all day and take care of our soon to be 18 month old little boy ( joy of my life)!!! These days and weeks can sometimes drag on and on, so I am excited when I get some me time ,which obviously involves craft time.
Speaking of craft time, it's Tuesday so that means we have a new challenge for you over at The Cuttlebug Spot !! This weeks challenge is to "Create a Banner", it can be an actual banner for home decor or it can be on a layout or card. Obviously if you know me you know I made a card :) Here is what I came up with.
Isn't she just adorable !! I made a standard A2 size card but my image hangs off the top as you can see. My image is a digital stamp that I purchased from Wee Stamps  and then colored using my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut my banner using two different sizes of round circle punches and layered them with twine in between, I also popped them with some 3D foam squares. The word NOEL are just some black stickers that I had. Paper used were left over scraps I had in my scrap bin, don't you just love when you can use up your scraps !?
I hope you all enjoy my card and I hope that you can join in on are fun challenge!! This weeks sponsor is Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits !!

Boys Rule Scrapbooks kits is a monthly scrapbook kit club for those of us who love to paper craft boy subjects. Care and consideration is key as each kit is assembled for the boys. Cool embellies are paired with handsome papers you will love to play with each month.

Guess What ?!?!

Hello Bloggy Friends,
I don't have a card to show you today, well as of right now I don't. I am hoping to get into my craft room tonight!! Instead,I am here to tell you that I am so super excited, my husband came home from work last night and told my to go online and pick out any Silhouette Cameo bundle that I wanted, that, that was going to be my Christmas present. I never thought I would want anything other than Cricut's, I guess I was wrong!! I have been watching many videos on what the silhouette can do and it is simply amazing. I also have been seeing many, many great projects made with the silhouette. Two of my favorite designers use this machine quite frequently on their projects, your can find their great creations at....Karen @ Little Scrap Pieces & Tanya @ Nonna's Craft Corner make sure to check out these ladies blogs, their creations are always so adorable and so inspiring, hence that's why I am getting a silhouette :)  I should get my goodies sometime next week, so stay tuned to see what projects I will come up with!!

The Cuttlebug Spot:Challenge Time !!

Hello Bloggy Friends,
It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot. This weeks challenge is to create a project based on one of the four seasons (winter, spring, summer or fall). I hope you will all have time to join us in this weeks challenge. Here is what I came up with...
As you can see by my card I used winter as my season of inspiration. My adorable image is a Digi stamp from WeeStamps. I printed her out in grayscale on my computer cause I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color her in. I used Spellbinders "Standard Circle Large" to cut out around her. I also cut a second circle and cut it in half and embossed it with my snowflake embossing folder ,then I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink. I added some sparkly white glitter to the fur trim on her coat and on the ground for the snow.
My card base is your stand A2 size card. I cut the flowers from "The Flower Shop" cricut cartridge and quilled them and added some prima green flowers behind them for the petals. I cut these some time ago so I don't remember the size that they were cut at.
I hope this card gives you some inspiration and I can't wait to see what everyone creates!! So stop on by and enter the challenge and join in on the fun.

FCCB #140-Make a Project using Snowman or Snowflakes

Hello Bloggy Friends,
Well we are officially into December!! I love this month and despise it all at the same time. I manage our local UPS Store that I have worked at for the past 7 years and as you can imagine it stays pretty busy in the month of December and even January. It make for long days when you work all day and then come home to a 17 month old who is teething !!
Me being apart of design teams is definitely my getaway from all the ciaos that goes on in my life, and with that being said, I am here with this week's post for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog !! This weeks challenge is " Make a project using Snowman or Snowflakes". Here is what I cam up with....

My card is a standard A2 size card. I used one of my favorite cricut cartridges to make this card "Create a Critter 2", my snowman is cut from page 68 in the handbook. I used my gypsy so I could use the hide option cause I knew I wanted to use some Peachy Keen stamps for the face (PK-487 In Stitches 1 1/8"). My snowman was cut at 3.5" and my sentiment is from (My Pink Stamper). I also cover my snowman with coarse glitter, and let me tell you he sure does sparkle, he is also on an action wobble.
I hope you all will be able to join us this week, we always have fabulous prizes to give away to the winner along with the top 5 as well. Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you all enjoy.

Merry Christmas From The North Pole

Hello Bloggy Friends,
I am here with a super adorable Christmas shape card that I made to enter into a couple of challenges going on right now, I will list them at the bottom of this post. I made this card using all scraps of paper I had in my scrap bin. I am trying to get my stash of scraps smaller!! Here is what I came up with, I hope you all enjoy it :) ......
See I told you it was adorable!! I used my November stamp kit from Peachy Keen Stamps for the elf and the sentiment. I used my Spectrum Noirs to color in my cute little elf and then added some glitter to his hat and lolly pop. I also added some glossy essentials to the lolly pop as well but just on the red portion.
I used my Gypsy to weld to of the snowy mountains together to make the base of my card, my base measures at 6.75" along with all its layers. The image was cut from the "Winter Frolic" cricut cartridge. I decided to emboss one of the layers, I cut the other one in a lite blue snowflake patterned piece of scrap paper. I inked my trees up with some "Shabby Shutters"Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink. If you have any further questions about my card feel free to ask.

Challenge Time at -The CuttleBug Spot: Scrap Sandwich

Hello Bloggy Friends,
It's time for another terrific challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot !! This weeks challenge is called Scrap Sandwich (use scraps & layers). Now expect a lot of people to join in on this challenge, because if your like me I am sure you have a tub of just scraps !! I try so hard not to ever cut up a new pieces of paper I will always go through my scraps first. I use to just throw all my scraps into a tote, but about 2 months ago I went through it and made clean cuts on all my scraps. I did this so they would all have straight edges and not get tangled on each other. If you were wondering, YES, I am OCD (lol)!! This has not only made my scraps look neater but I was able to downsize my tote as well. Any who, who wants to see my card!!
Here is the card I came up with for this challenge....

Everything on my card, except the card base was indeed made using all scraps. I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge, this cartridge has so many cute cuts on it. My tree was cut from page 50 in the handbook and is cut at 4.5". My card base is a standard A2 size card. The sentiment is from an old Stampin' Up stamp set I have ( don't know the name, sorry).
I hope you all enjoy my card !! I hope this inspires you to get your scraps out and join in on the fun. We always have fabulous prizes up for grabs, we would love to see your projects. Thanks for Stopping by!!

This weeks Challenge is 'Use 3 different embossing/diecutting items' !! Here is what I came up with. I got two new Cricut cartridges this week and decided to showcase one of them .
I used the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge to make this card along with the Cricut Imagine Mr. Frosty Cartridge for the patterned paper in the background . I know this cartridge has been around for awhile, but my Joann's has been having some pretty good deals on Cartridges, so I try to buy a couple every other week. An addiction you say !!! Yes that's an accurate assumption lol :)
My card is a standard A2 size card . My snowflake is cut at 3" and this is the first one in the handbook.I just realized I also used the Mr. Frosty Cartridge on the snowflake as well for the colors. I wanted them to coordinate with the background paper.
Sorry that you cannot see the embossing on the white all that well, I asked Santa (aka my Husband ) for a new camera for Christmas :)
I Hope you all enjoy my project and make sure you all go check out The Cuttlebug Spot to join this weeks challenge.

Here is my card that I came up with...
Give A Hoot & Stretch Your Imagination

The (Give A Hoot) cricut cartridge, is just so adorable there are just so many cute cuts on it. I am a huge animal nut, so if you are an animal lover, this cartridge is for you.
My card base measures at 4.25x5.5 .My cute little squirrel was cut as 3.5 on page 51 in the handbook. In the handbook he is holding an acorn, I just didn't cut that layer because I knew I wanted to use a leaf. The leafs are cut at 1" and 0.75", the leaf that the squirrel is holding is from the same cartridge on page 28 and the other leafs are from, Stretch Your Imagination on page 48.
I hope you all enjoy my card !! Also, I am sure you all notice I am doing my post a little bit differently. I decided not to list every single type of materials used, it got to be a lot of work to post it all. I will be more than happy to tell anyone the materials on any of my cards all you have to do is ask.

Just Chillin

Hello Card Lovers,
I am so glad, that I have had some time in my craft room today. My little peanut is sleeping so I was able to make two cards. The card I am going to show you in this post, will be entered in over at, Scrappy Mom Stamps. I decided to go with a Christmas card for this challenge. Here is what I came up with....
Materials Used
Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge
Mr. Frosty Cricut Imagine Cartridge
Scrappy Mom's (Charmed Life) Stamp Set
Peachy Keen Critter Faces (medium)
Buttons From Stash
Creative Impressions Snowflakes
Queen & Co. Rhinestones
Bakers Twine
Stampin Up Snowflake Embossing Folder
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Black Gel Pen

All papers, except the ones used for my cute little penguin, were printed using the Mr. Frosty Cricut Imagine Cartridge. One of my all time favorite craft stores, Crafts Direct was discontinuing all the cricut imagine items, so I got a bunch of ink and cartridges for only $10.00 a piece, can you believe those prices?!?! I had to drive an hour to get them but I made a day of it shopping there. Here is a picture of the outside of the store. Is this place not amazing!!!
OK so on with the details of my card. The base is 5.25x4.5, my penguin measure at 4" with all of her layers. I used my Gypsy so I could hide the face and use my peachy keen stamps. I printed two circles as well, one at 4.5" and 4.2". I put them on my card and cut off the access.
I Just love how this card turned out. I love all the colors.

PKS Challenge #37

Hello Card Lovers,
OK, so I know I am cutting it pretty close to deadline on this challenge. I would swear that my soon to be 16 month old is going through the terrible two's early. He has been a handful lately, it doesn't help that he has mommy wrapped around his little finger either.
I was so excited to make this card because I knew I was going to use the new Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge. Here is what I came up with for this sketch challenge.
Materials Used
Teddy Bear Parade
PK-754 Critter Faces
Scrappy Mom's Stamps (The Charmed Life)
DCWV Paper
AC Glitter Tape
Queen & Co. Rhinestones & Pearls
CuttleBug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Googly Eyes
Black Gel Pen
Tim Holtz (Dried Marigold) Distress Ink
3D Foam Squares

I Think this card turned out pretty cute, if I would have more time there are some things I would have liked to have changed.
* My card base is 4.5x5.25
*Small Circle 2" (Cricut Basics)
* Large Circle 4.25" (Cricut Basics)
* Bear 3.5"
I Definitely think this cartridge is going to quickly become my new favorite. This to me, is one of the best cricut lite cartridges out there, there are just so many possibilities. I hope you all have a great night and thanks for stopping by. I am off to work on more cards, now that little one is going to bed.
Thanks & Happy Scrapping'

Make A Wish

Hello Card Lovers,
I am here with a quick post, I will be doing another post in a few hours for a GIVE- AWAY !!!
This card I will be showing you, will be entered into the challenge going on over at Fantabulous Cricut. The Challenge was to use a candle. Here is what I came up with....
Materials Used
Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge
Hopscotch Cricut Imagine Cartridge
Scrappy Mom's Stamps (Simple Sentiments)
DCWV Solid Cardstock
CuttleBug Embossig Folders
Orange Crush Glitter
Studio G Rhinestones
Button From Stash
Yellow Bakers Twine
White Gel Pen
3D Foam Squares
Zig Glue Pen

My Card base measures 4.25x5.5. My Candles are cut from page 51 in the Birthday Bash handbook, I cut the candles along with all there layers a 2.75". My background paper with the banners on it, is cut from the Cricut imagine Hopscotch cartridge. I decided to use my lose orange crush glitter to get the sparkle on the flames.I went around the yellow portion of the flames with my zig glue pen, this works best for adhering lose glitter because the glue dry clears and it's not chunky. Then to top it all off, I used the super cute stamp from the Scrappy Mom's, I suggest everyone checks out there blog, they have great products for sale.
I hope you all enjoy this cute little Birthday card!! If you have further questions feel free to ask, make sure to stop my blog later to check out the Give-away. I will be picking a winner at random once I reach 50 Followers.
Thanks & Happy Scrapping"
